1. Log in to Compass+ with your email address and password - https://auth.careersandenterprise.co.uk/compassplus
2. Click on Learner > Current in the main navigation bar.
You will see a range of filters that can be applied to learner data above a list of all the current learners in your institution. This list is fed directly from your institution’s Management Information System (MIS) and is updated overnight.
The filters that can be applied to your current learner list are separated into three sections:
- Learner record
- Interests
- Current destinations
The first two data fields; Year Group and Form Group will always be automatically applied.:
You can now choose to produce learner reports either by selecting a Compass+ built-in report or by creating your own custom report.
Built-in reports.
Above your current learner list is a dropdown box, from here you can select one of the following built-in reports:
- Year and Form
- Learner details
- Current interests
- Current destination
Select one of the built-in reports from the list, and you will see that the current learner list below has been configured to include the specific data fields you have chosen:
3. Use the chevrons next to the column titles to sort your learner data:
4. Click on the upside down triangle icon to filter the learner data in each relevant column.
A red dot will show next to this icon to alert you that a filter has been applied.
Just untick the box to remove the column filter:
Please note: A filter has been added next to the Year Group/Form Group columns so that you can easily identify learners whose year group and form information are missing on your MIS.
To remove a data field filter, just click on the data field button that you want to remove in the filter section above the learner list.
5. To search for an individual learner, enter their name in the search box in the top right of the screen:
6. Click the green 'Download report' button to download this data.
You can choose to download just the filtered data by clicking 'Download filtered table'
A pop-up message will appear telling you the data filters that have been selected. Click 'Download Report' to continue.
This report will download as an Excel spreadsheet straight into your 'Downloads' folder on your computer.
You can also choose to download Interests and Destinations data for all learners, with no filters applied, by clicking 'Download destinations data (Excel).
A pop-up message will appear confirming that you want to download interests and destinations information for all your learners, click 'Download' to continue.
This report will download as an Excel spreadsheet straight into your 'Downloads' folder on your computer.
Custom reports.
1. Select any of the data fields you want to include in your custom report:
2. Save your custom report so that it is available the next time you log in to Compass+.
Click on the light green 'Save as new report' button:
3. A pop-up window will appear asking you to give your custom report a name and enter a short description for the report.
4. Click the green 'Save' button to continue.
5. The custom report will be saved under the 'Custom Reports' section of the dropdown box above the current learner list. Click on the report to instantly apply the filters you selected to be included in the custom report:
Follow the steps above to sort and filter you learner data.
6. Click the green 'Download report' button to download this data.
You can choose to download just the filtered data by clicking 'Download filtered table'

Editing and deleting custom reports
You can edit and delete custom reports anytime by clicking on the pencil icon next to the dropdown box.
A pop-up window will appear where you can either edit the custom report information, or delete the custom report by clicking the 'Delete' button at the bottom of the window.
A green pop-up notification will appear in the top right corner of the screen to confirm that the custom report has been successfully deleted:
Viewing individual learner profiles
Click on ‘View profile’ next to the learner’s name in your learner list to view their individual learner profile:
From here you can view the different sections of their profile using the Activities, Interests and Destinations, Questionnaires and Personal Information tabs:
