Each Future Skills Questionnaire type is generated on a year group basis. A learner needs to be in a specific year group to be able to complete the Future Skills Questionnaire.
Questionnaire type | Year groups that can complete questionnaire type |
Starting Secondary | Year 7 |
Transition to KS3 | Year 8 and Year 9 |
GCSE Years | Year 10 and Year 11 |
Post-16 Study | Year 12, Year 13 and Year 14 |
SEND | All year groups |
Please note: The questionnaires will always work on the year group rules above, no matter what their institution type or when a learner transitions to secondary. Learners in middle school in year 9 for example will only be able to complete either the ‘Transition to KS3’ or ‘SEND’ questionnaire types.
Learners without year groups
We have been experiencing issues where institutions have generated questionnaire links for learners that are in the ‘wrong’ year group. This could be for several reasons:
- Your MIS learner data hasn’t been updated for the new academic year
- The integration between your MIS and Groupcall is not working
- Compass+ has not been able to sync your data
To stop issues relating to this, only learners who have an up-to-date year group will be displayed in the ‘Questionnaire’ section of Compass+.
Before generating Future Skills Questionnaire links for your learners, it is best practice to double-check that the learners you have selected to complete a specific questionnaire type are from the correct year group.
We hope to be able to flag learners without year groups more clearly in the Future Skills Questionnaire interface so that you can spot if you have not generated a questionnaire for every learner in a year group or in your institution.
