Activities reporting will help you to identify learners who have or have not attended activities, you can filter by characteristics to plan targeted intervention and support, you can monitor PAL compliant activities and activities that have involved parental engagement. Use Activities Reporting to track learner progress and plan next steps effectively.
1. Log in to Compass+ with your email address and password > https://auth.careersandenterprise.co.uk/compassplus
2. From the main navigation bar go to ‘Activities’, then ‘Your Activities'.
3. You will see a section called Activities reporting:
4. When you click on 'Activities reporting', you will be taken to the Activities reporting table:
5. The Activities Reporting table will open with three filters automatically applied; Activity Lead, Main Category and Sub-Categories, these are highlighted green.
The Activities Reporting filters are split into three sections:
- Activity Details
- Learner Record
- Attendance Status.
Use the dropdown to select the required academic year.
Use the search function to look for a specific activity.
If you click on 'View activity', you will be redirected the activity displayed in Your Activities.
Don't forget you can filter and sort the table by clicking on the upside down triangle, and the double arrow icons, next to the column header.
6. Once you have applied the required filters, you can download the data you see on screen into an Excel spreadsheet, just click the green 'Download report' button:
Activities Report
When you download the Activities report, the spreadsheet has two tabs; Activities and Groups.
The report contains data grouped by the three sections in the Activities Reporting table - activity details, learner record and attendance status.
The report has the institution name, URN and the date of when the report was downloaded.
In the Activities tab, the Attendance Status values are highlighted as hyperlinks. If you click on them, you will go back into Compass+, to the Learner table.
The 'View activity' link will take you to the 'Edit activity' page in Compass+:
If you are not already logged in to Compass+, you will be prompted to log in before you can view tis information.
The Groups tab displays data related to Group Type. If you click on any link in the tab, you will be taken to the relevant Group page in the Learner table:
Viewing the Learner table from Activities Reporting
1. Go back to the Activities reporting screen.
2. Apply the relevant filters that you want for your report, if values in the table are highlighted and underlined, this means that you can click on them and you will be redirected to a relevant section of Compass+. In the example below, we click on '34':
And the Learner table will open.
3. The Learner table shows more information about the learners, and groups of learners, that took part in the activity.
Use the filters in the Learner table to analyse data quickly and conveniently.
Click 'View profile' to see that learners individual learner profile in a new window.
TOP TIP : Apply the UPN filter here, so that when you download the report, it will be easier to add learners to a new activity you may want to deliver based on this data, or if you plan to email learners based on their attendance to the activity, having their UPN makes this easier too:
Learner Report
When you download the Learner Report, it has the activity and group name at the top of the spreadsheet:
Click on View profile' to open Compass+ in a new window and go back to that learners individual learner profile.
