This Help Centre article walks you through how to use the Advanced Search functionality in Careers Partners. Do an advanced search to help find organisations based on their sector, if they deliver PAL complaint activities or to target employer engagement for specific curriculum areas.
Advanced Search functionality
1. Log in to Compass+ using your email address and password - https://auth.careersandenterprise.co.uk/compassplus
2. From the main navigation bar go to Careers Partners> Your Careers Partners. On the 'Your Careers Partners' page you will see a list of all the partners you have added already displayed in alphabetical order.
3. Select the green "Advanced Search" button at the top of the list:
The filters are divided into two categories:
Organisation Filters
- Organisation Type > i.e. Apprenticeship Provider, Armed Service, FE Provider, ITP etc
- Organisation Sector > i.e. Construction, Creative Arts, Health, Tourism etc
- Organisation PAL compliance > find organisations that can deliver activities that comply with PAL.
Named Contact Filters
- Contact Criteria > narrow down your search by their status as Alumni, Inactive, Active, or Related to Learner
- Contact Curriculum Area > filter by the specific subject area that the contact is associated with
- Contact Available For >find Careers Partners that can deliver specific activities.
For each filter, the option selected from the dropdown will show a number in brackets – this tells you how many Careers Partners meet your required criteria and will be shown in your search results. Please note: if adding multiple filters, total search results will be reduced.
4. When you apply filters to your list of Careers Partners, you will see a notification at the bottom of the search panel. You can clear any filters you have applied to your list of Careers Partners by clicking the "Clear all" button:
5. All of the Careers Partners that match your criteria, from the filters you have selected, will displayed in a table below the green notification bar.
To view details of each organisation, just click the arrow in the Actions column:
You have the option to edit or delete the Careers Partner by selecting the relevant icon next to the arrow (Edit = pencil icon, Delete = trashcan icon.)
You can also view Contacts for the organisation, and the Activities they have been involved in by clicking on the relevant tab in the record.
Please note: If you have applied Named Contact Filters, the list of organisations that you see will be reduced to only those that include Contacts with the specified criteria.
