Helping colleagues to understand Compass+
It’s easy to add colleagues as Compass+ users, however some staff may be unfamiliar with the schools careers landscape (e.g. Gatsby Benchmarks).
If you are your institution’s Careers Leader/lead Admin user in Compass+, it may be useful to discuss with new users how activities contribute to Benchmark scores, and how you plan to use the platform together. It’s also worth pointing new users to the Compass+ self-service training (see below).
Adding new Compass+ users
To get your colleagues started using Compass+ you’ll need to add them as a user. Please see How to manage users.
Getting a new user started with Compass+
New users should be directed to Quickstart with Compass+, which explains basic details about:
- how to log-in to Compass+
- how to create activities
- how to view individual learner profiles.
Training for new users
We’ve produced two self-service online training modules, specifically for new Compass+ users. Each module comprises videos, slides and quizzes explaining core functionality to help users start using Compass+ effectively. To make sure users get the most out of Compass+, we also offer a series of training webinars.
Both the self-service training modules and webinars are free for Compass+ users. You can register for the modules and sign-up for webinars from the Training and Support page on the CEC website, or from your Compass+ account by navigating to ‘Training and Resources’.
