Read our step-by-step guide below, or watch the video walkthrough at the end of this article.
Please note: there is a slight difference with terminology in the video due to language changes in Compass+, but the core functionality of copying custom groups from previous academic years to the current academic year remains the same.
1. Log in to Compass+ using your email address and password -https://auth.careersandenterprise.co.uk/compassplus
2. From the main navigation bar go to Activities > Groups:
3. All your groups are listed here. Use the 'Group type' filter to view a range of groups we have pulled through from your Management Information System (MIS), including filters for Teaching Group, Year Group, Form and Characteristics, plus any Custom groups you have created on Compass+.
You can also use the 'Search group' field to search for a particular group:
4. Select the previous academic year in the 'Academic year' dropdown, then select ‘Custom groups’ from the 'Group Type' dropdown.
5. Choose the Custom group you want to copy and click on the ‘Copy group to current academic year’ icon:
6. A pop-up window will open displaying the name of the Custom group, the learners who have been added to the group and the group membership details. Review these details, editing where necessary. This might require changing the group name, or adding or deleting individual learners.
Please note: Editing the group will not affect the group appearing in other academic years.
7. Once you are happy with the Custom group, click on ‘Copy to current year’ at the bottom of the pop-up window:
8. The Custom group will then appear in the Group list for the current academic year:
