Please note: There may be slight differences between what you see on Compass+/U-Explore (Start) and what you see in this guidance due to product updates and developments across both platforms. Core functionality of uploading data from U-Explore (Start) remains the same.
To upload learners’ activity data from U-Explore (Start) to Compass+, please complete the following steps:
Downloading your data from Start
Firstly, log-in to Start and navigate to the ’Interactions' section:
In the 'Interactions' area, click 'Start Recording' under 'Record Student Interactions':
Choose your filters on the Student Interactions table. The filters you choose will determine the data you are about to export. You can leave them blank to export all of your data or use the date range filter to only export data for a specific academic year:
Proceed with the download by clicking the Compass+ icon:
The spreadsheet will download and can be found in the ‘Downloads’ folder on your computer:
Uploading your data to Compass+
1. To upload your data to Compass+, select Activities > Your Activities on the navigation bar
2. Click on the ‘Upload activities icon:
3. Click on select file or drag the spreadsheet that you exported from Start to the area highlighted in the pop-up window. A successful upload message will appear if the activities are uploaded successfully:
We have built in checks to make sure that duplicate activities are not uploaded again. When this is detected, follow the on screen prompts to verify whether you want to upload/overwrite/ignore that particular activity:
