March 2022
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): We have increased our Compass+ log-in security to include Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA is an industry standard security enhancement that will defend Compass+ accounts against hacking attempts. MFA replaces the requirement where Compass+ users were automatically prompted to update their password after 90-days.
You can access a help article for further guidance with MFA, including how to reset your password here.
Pupil profile Interest and Destinations tab: When searching by keyword for a key subject a student might be interested in, an industry of interest or job role of interest, a partial keyword will now show results in alphabetical order (for example, when typing-in ‘phy’, 'Physics' now appears at the top of the list).
When entering Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 destinations, the dropdown menu is listed alphabetically. Click on the + sign to enter an establishment.
You can scroll through this list to select an establishment, or alternatively start typing the name of the establishment into the box, if the establishment has already been entered onto the system, this will appear.
Click here for more information on how to use the Pupil profile Interests and Destinations tab.
Pupil profile Activities tab: the individual activities show at the bottom of the Activities tab on a pupil’s individual profile are now listed in chronological order, rather than in Gatsby Benchmark order.
To access The pupil profile Activity tab help article, click here.
Future Skills Questionnaire: if an institution has a Year 14, there is now the option for this year to be assigned the Post-16 questionnaire type.
Go to the PUPIL tab and select Questionnaires.
When you have selected the Year group, click the green ‘Generate new links’ box. A pop-up will appear on screen prompting you to select the questionnaire type.

Current Pupils list and Left Pupils list: a filter has been added to the ‘form group’ column that displays every form group in the school:
• Users are able to select a single form group or multiple form groups within the filter
• A red dot appears next to the filter icon if a filter item is selected. Users can remove the filter by selecting the 'Reset' button above.
To learn more about how to use your Current Pupils list, click here.
Left Pupils list: a ‘Download Pupil destinations information’ button has been added above the search bar (similar to the Current Pupil list) to allow users to export their Destinations data to a .CSV file:
When choosing to download Destinations data, the user can choose to download either:
• All Left Pupils' data
• A filtered list that only downloads the information that’s appearing on-screen.
The same fields appear in the .CSV file as for when when exporting data for Current pupils, with the following differences:
• ‘Year Left’ column is added after the ‘UPN’ column on all three tabs in the .CSV file
• ‘Key Stage’, ‘Year group’, ‘Form group’ are removed on all three tabs.
