Which schools are affected?
We are making some changes to the Xporter connector tool used to manage the data transfer between some schools’ Management Information System (e.g. SIMS, Bromcom) and Compass+.
Why is this change happening?
The data connection provider Compass+ currently uses, Assembly, has been acquired by a different company, Community Brands, more commonly known as Groupcall. Xporter will be managed through the Groupcall Xporter interface rather than the Assembly interface.
My school uses Xporter - do I need to do anything now? Can I continue using Compass+ while these changes are happening?
At present you can continue using Compass+ as usual. Please pay attention to any messages you see within Compass+ regarding your MIS connection.
What are the next steps?
When we have completed your migration to the new interface, you will need to login to Groupcall Xporter instead of Assembly whenever you need to manage your connection.
