Goodbye Compass, Hello Compass+
From September, all Compass users will move to Compass+, a more stable and scalable platform that supports evaluating, managing and reporting on your careers provision.
The migration from Compass to Compass+ marks the first stage in our journey to enhance your experience using our digital products.
For existing Compass+ users, it’s business as usual. For Compass users, we’re delighted to welcome you to Compass+.

Your Child’s Future – a questionnaire for parents and carers
Your Childs Future (YCF) has been designed to help education settings understand parents’ and carers’ knowledge, confidence and awareness of careers.
YCF covers various topics, including how parents and carers feel talking to their child about careers, how much they know about the different options available for their child after school or college, and how much they understand about the careers programme at their child's school, specialist setting or college.
Your Child’s Future will be available to all Compass+ users from September.

Updates to Activities in Compass+
Creating activities for Gatsby Benchmarks 2-8 will be redesigned to make activities data more useful and easier to work with. These changes will help ensure everything is recorded more consistently, giving you clearer insights into what’s working well in your setting’s careers provision.
By focusing on the type of activity, how meaningful it is, and the outcomes for learners, you’ll be able to see not just how much you’re doing, but the real impact it’s having - both in your setting and beyond.

Updates to the Compass evaluation and Careers Impact internal leadership review (all versions)
There will be changes to the Compass evaluation questions and Internal Leadership Review maturity models to reflect a strategic, evidence-informed and sustainable careers approach, embedded across whole-setting systems, with shared leadership responsibility and a focus on long-term impact.
We will also be releasing a Careers Internal Leadership review model for MATs.

Updates to the Future Skills Questionnaire question sets (all versions)
Enterprise (e.g. starting your own business or starting a business with other people) will be added to the question that asks learners their job/career of interest. V Levels will also be included in the options question.

With over 4,000 Compass+ users and over three million learners in the system, we support hundreds of practitioners to effectively evaluate, manage and record their careers provision with Compass+.
Our development work for Compass+ is split into three main areas:
- New features
- Improving current functionality
- Housekeeping and maintenance

UPDATE: Homepage and navigation improvements - A new Compass+ homepage is now live! We have made it clearer which key features you have engaged with, and which features haven’t been utilised yet. How you navigate Compass+ has been updated to simplify interactions across the product. All data visualisations are now available in the relevant section of Compass+ rather than being on the homepage.
